What focus of my blog?

My friend using email ask me of what focus of my Indonesian blog. "I do not know what focus the blog is," I answered to the question. Why?

Because of my interets in blogging is to practice my writing skill. I will write everything. It is not only in my Indonesian blog, but it is also in this English blog. Once again, I will write everything that I want to write because the first interest in blogging is to practice my writing skill.
I have many ideas, and I feel all these ideas is important. In my Indonesian blog, I often write about the live of Moslem in village, so readers f my blog can say that my blog is for expressing the live of Moslems in Javanese village. But I also write other idea that are diferent to the main ideas.

"Is it narcisist?" readers of my blog may ask again.

Practice to Write in English Must be Everyday

Since December 28, 2006, I have never written a post in this blog. There are some reasons of why it was.

The first, since the dte I focused in my Indonesian blog to practice my writing skill in Bahasa Indonesia. I realize that my writing skill in Bahasa Indonesia is still bad. Not only it is a bad idea that I choose as a focus in my writing but it is also in systematization of each writings. To make better of two things, I must often practice to write a post everyday, and must disscus with other blogger in every posts. I feel there are many often matters that give support in making better in my writing skill in Bahasa Indonesia. Please read every post in my Indonesian blog, and check the idea and also its writing systematization, are there good?

Second, I realize that writing inEnglish in not easy for me here. To write in Bahasa Indonesia I need 5 minute, and to write in English I need 1 hour. The comparison that is not make me confuse. Why it is because I have a difficulty in writing in English. But today I feel I must begin to write in English, because practice everyday in English writing will strengthen my English writing skill. Like in Indonesian writing that I must prctice everyday, so it was in English writing.

I make promise to my self since today to make a post in this blog although it is only one post in one weeks. Please give your advice and critics to this blog, both in the language I use and also in ideas I write. Thanks.

Changing of Blog´s Title and Its Slogan

Does GoogleAdsense admit Indonesian language? If not, what is google.co.id for?

I ask the above question after submitting to GoogleAdsense but GoogleAdsense´s answering in my email is like the text below:

There is no Indonesian language in above text. I ask again, does GoogleAdsensew admit Indonesian language?

I think there is no problemn if my fault in submitting to Google Adsense because the incorrect account. But if the reason of Indonesian language GoogleAdsense does not supoort, I think GoogleAdsense need to consider again of their policies about the language.

I Change the Title of My Two Blogs

Previous title of this blog is humanizing my self, blog for practicing my writing skill in english. Since now I change it by new title of Akhmad Murtajib, blog for expressing my ideas in English.

My Indonesian blog title also changed. Previously its title is humanizing my life, blog tempat sayan belajar menulis. I change by new title, Akhmad Murtajib, blog penampung ide saya dalam bahasa Indonesia.

I do not know why I change the title of the two blogs. I only want to change them

Posting by Fatih Syuhud, What New Blogger Wants said that new bloggers want their web log to be comented by elder blogers. It is also by Harry Sufehmi about Seleb blog yang sombong-sombong itu. The two posting are a comment to post by Fany by title of Tentang Komentar Bagi Blogger Baru. Comments by elder bloggers will support new bloggers in making better of their web log, including to post new stories. This fact – I call this is the fact-- is the same as in mail list. If new members of mail list posted an email but no other elder members respond it, so they will stop their posts. And many people have the same experiences. New bloggers is almost the same, like Fati Syuhud write.

So, according to us, new members do not need to wait and wait their web log to be commented by elder blogger. Why? I think more elder bloggers have a small interest to new members, moreover if the blog is still amateur. Many reasons of why they, elder bloggers, have small interest to new and amateur blogger, but I do not write the reasons here. I only say that you, new bloggers, do not have a more wish and hope to elder blogger to comment to you web log. I think the best thought is you do not hope them to post a comment to your web log.

So, for new blogger, please write and write what you want to write in your web log, and do not hope other bloggers will comment to your posts. I also write and write what I want to write, both in this blog or in my Indonesian blog. I think if your web log is interested, more people, not only bloggers, will not only give comments but also will reference to other people to access your web log. I often reference to a blog that I suggest it is important for me, and I hope sometime I will reference to your blog.

The end, I have never though some other elder bloggers will click this link because I am still studying to write in English, and to this link because I am studying to wrtite what I want to write.

"Read More" Setting in Beta Version of Blogspot

The "Read more" facility I mean here is to make readers easier in reading a story or an article. Correcting My English: Can My English Be Understood?

Reading the firs and other post in this blog, you may be having a
perception that this blog is my new blog, and I have leaved my old
blog in wordpress.com. You have the like perception is no problem,
because the perception is real previously. But nowadays the perception
is false. Since last day, I have an idea to use this blog as my
training media in English writing. In my main Indonesian blog, and in
previous posting in this blog, I have posted for this idea. This post
is only to maintain that this blog is for me to study in writing
English.

I maintain that this blog is for studying my English skill in writing.
But before all, I have some questions for you all. After reading some
posts in this blog, can you understand what I write? Can my English be
understood? Is my English true grammatically? Also, is my choice of
words I use in a sentence true?

I hope bloggers can give comment to my posting, and to my English. The
comments will be very useful for me to advance my English skill of
writing. Thanks.

Pengajian Tradition in Javanese Villages

It is one of images when I (center side) went home last week. I went home for attending an event called Pengajian Haji. Pengajian is a term mean a religious forum in which kiai (Moslem preach) give an advice to many people being audience. The forum is called Pengajian Haji because it was implemented in islamic periode of Hajj. And in the forum, someone that will go to Mecca for Hajj take a permission to many people in order that his going for Hajj will be Mabrur. I plan to post about this article in more, not about the Hajj itself, but about the tradition of pengajian that many Moslem people, especially in Javanese villages, still often celebrate it until now. It is not only in periode of Hajj but also in many periods and events, religious or not. This post will be coming soon.

2 Web Log in Indonesian and English

In the first post of this web log I wrote that I change my web log from wordpress.com to blogspot.com. My reason of the changing the web log was access to login to wordpress.com is very difficult here. I must need more than 15 minute and even until 1 hour to have accesseed to wordpress.com. I did not know why it was. Previously I think it was because of computer I use to access internet is bad. So I change other computers to have accessed to the internet, and the result was the same. My conclusion was that there was no problem with the computer, moreover I use computer that have good capacity. I use a computer that has capacity of Pentium 4. There was no problem with the computer, once again.

I tried to look for other reasons of whey I can not access to wordpress.com. This may be coming from the OS (operating system) I have installed to my computer. I use Linux, mainly Mandriva Linux, 2005 Limited Edition. I have installed the OS with minimum of personal usage, not server. So it was no reason if this OS become the reason of why I can not access to wordpress.com. In yahoo mail list I have followed I posted a question of how it was. Some members responded to my posting and said that the problem is not related to my computer. But, they said that the problem of why I can not login access to yahoo.com is coming from my ISP. I say yahoo.com here because there is not only wordpress.com that was very difficult to be accessed, but also many sites like yahoo.com. Site if INDIPT-Online also have been very difficult to be accessed at that time. Then, I tried to ask to my ISP, and they repaired but I have still the same problem in the after.

In the condition, I have a though to make new web log. But after I browsed to internet, I have back to blogspot.com that I have used before. I made new web log in blogspot.com in new version of Beta. The domain of the web log is http://akhmadmutajib.blogspot.com. Akhmad Murtajib is my real name; I use it to be my sub domain in this web log. You are now reading page of this web log. In the previous web log in blogspot.com, the sub domain is using my last name, Murtajib, i.e., http://murtajib.blogspot.com, and this web log is still in classic mode, not in Beta (although after that I try to upgrade t Beta version).

In the first paragraph of this page I write about my first posting. I write about changing of my web log from wordpress.com to blogspot.com. But after I think again, having of two main web logs is not a problem. I will not change my previous web log, but will use both. I will use the previous web log, and use this web log. I have a plan to use wordpress web log to post in Bahasa Indonesia and use blogspot to post in English. I think this plan is good because I am studying to write in the two languages.

Is the first goal I make web log to study and practice my writing both in Indonesian and English? The two main web logs are good for this studying and practicing. Please give me an advice by comment of this posting.

Blog I Like (1): Habermasian Reflection Blog

Juergen Habermas. He is a German post Marxist philosopher, and second generation of Frankfurt School critical theory. I know him through his book when I was at Yogyakarta, in 1993. But I know him not in a detail of his thought, only know some its terms. The terms that I know are life word, human interest, knowledge, public sphere, communication action, etc.. There are still many terms Habermas have and I am in a big confuse when I try to understand the terms. And until know I am still in a big confuse to understand his thought.

A blog by habermasians readers I think good to be considered by everyone who has interest in studying critical theory, especially the critical theory in German post Marxist tradition. But the site is very problematic for non English people. Because the first, Hebermas's though is very difficult to be understood, moreover if someone did not understand the previous tradition of critical theory by first generation of Frankfurt school like Adorno. And, everyone coming from
non English language, if they have not English skill, they will not understand.

Here, in Indonesia, there is still a little book that studies Habermas's though. And from all of books, I think it is still very difficult to find a book about Habermas's though that can be easily
understood by beginners in critical theory. I hope also some readers of Habermas in Indonesia can make a blog in Indonesia language to understand an important philosopher, Habermas.

Belajar Menulis, Belajar Nge-Blog, Mudah Tapi Tidak Gampang, & Akhirnya Saya Kembali ke Blogspot...

Menulis dan nge-Blog ternyata mudah, tetapi tidak gampang. Pertama, menulis itu membutuhkan ide, dan ide itu harus terus bisa didapatkan. Bagaimana kita bisa menulis jika tidak ada ide? Jelas jawabnya harus banyak membaca, banyak berdiskusi, banyak refleksi, dan seterusnya. Jika demikian, menulis menjadi gampang. Apalagi jika sudah ada notebook, dimana saja kita bisa menuliskannya. Tetapi jika nge-Blog?

Mudah juga, tinggal tulisan itu dimasukan saja ke Blog. Beres, dan selesai. Tetapi persoalannya, nge-Blog itu menjadi tidak gampang kalau akses internet saja kagak ada. Bukankah begitu? Saya ada akses internet. Dan bisa dikata 24 jam nonstaop, walau saya tinggal di kota kecil, tepatnya di bagian selatan Jawa Tengah. Tetapi akses internet itu ternyata tidak lancar. Berat sekali untuk loading, misalnya yahoo.com. Dan, dari menulis yang tadi saya sebut mudah, dan nge-Blog juga mudah, akhirnya menjadi tidak gampang. Karena akses internet itu begitu susahnya.

Dan karena begitu susahnya, akhirnyan saya bikin blog baru lagi. Awalnya, saya bikin blog di blogspot.com. Saya bikin blog di blogspot.com dengan bimbingan dari tip bikin blog yang ditulis oleh blogger Indonesia, Fatih Syuhud Sayapun bikin blog di blogspot dengan alamat domain di http://murtajib.blogspot.com. Tetapi, ternyata rumit juga, disebabkan karena saya tidak begitu ahli dalam html dll. Dan saya melirik ke wordpress.com, karena ketika saya buka dan pelajari, ternyata lebih mudah. Dan saya pun pindah kesana, dengan alamat domain: http://tajib.wordpress.com.

Tetapi, lagi-lagi saya harus gigit jari. Karena wordpress yang saya akan banggakan, disini, di kota saya, minimal di kompter saya, begitu berat untuk diakses. Membukanya membutuhkan waktu yang sangat lama, bisa sampai 3 malah 4 kali lamanya dari membuka blogspot.com. Bahkan pernah, dan malah sering, sampai 15 menit baru bisa buka. Bahkan gagal sama sekali, sering terjadi. Beratnya bukan ketika membuka homepage-nya, melainkan ketika membuka Dasboard-nya. Dan, bagaimana akan bisa melatih untuk terus upload tulisan jika mau ulpoad saja bikin tidak sabar?

Pikir tambah pikir, akhirnya ya saya harus bikin blog lagi di blogspot.com. Awalnya, saya pingin kembali lagi ke blog di blogspot.com dengan domain yang lama, http://murtajib.blogspot.com. Tetapi, membaca tulisan terakhirnya, saya menjadi malu sendiri. Masa sih mau menjilat ludah sendiri. Di tulisan terakhir disana saya sudah menulis bahwa saya pindah ke wordpress.com, dan mengatakan “yang bukan-bukan” tentang blogspot.com. E.... ternyata kini kembali lagi. Apa itu namanya bukan menjilat ludah sendiri? Tapi setelah saya pikir ulang, akhirnya bikin lagi saja yang baru, tepatnya di blog dengan alamat ini, http://akhmadmurtajib.blogspot.com. Gak apa-apa, walau dibilang menjilat ludah sendiri, tetapi karena terpaksa. Dan, dari pengalaman ini, saya mendapatkan sebuah kalimat hikmah bahwa, “kadang yang kita pikirkan, tidak sesuai dengan kenyataan.” Karenanya, berfikirlah masak-masak!
